Tuesday, March 17, 2015 Top o' the mornin' to ya, and Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today, as we continue the journey through poetry and figurative language, we will be looking at a poem by Emilie Dickenson. The Railway Train is a metaphor poem, meaning that this poem will be comparing to objects (I'm sure you have already guessed what one of those items is). It will be your job to determine what is being compared and to identify the figurative language used throughout. Below are links to both the poem and the analysis questions. Make sure, as always, that you are giving full and complete answers.
P.S. Don't forget that your book report is due no later than this Thursday, March 19th. Please make sure to see me if you have any questions BEFORE it is due.
